MEET THE TEAM

James Houghton

Director



Chartered Engineer with an honours degree in Building Services Engineering, James was one of the first Low Carbon Energy Assessor in the North East. As a designer, consultant and business owner, James focuses on efficiency across every aspect of design and management.

Member of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers with over 25 years experience, working across a wide range of sectors. James was also a member of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) design team, designing the Mechanical Engineering services for schools and nurseries.

Paul Lee

Director



Highly experienced in leading teams of engineers to deliver integrated building design solutions, Paul ensures engineering remains at the forefront of efficient and considered design.

Paul is a Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (with Honours) in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

With more than 20 years of experience, Paul has worked across a variety of developments from student to private and luxury residential buildings to commercial, industrial, further and higher education sectors.

Steven Farrell

Director



Steven has extensive knowledge of sustainable solutions and has been heavily involved in Low Carbon Consultancy, Energy Assessments and managing EPCs. He has an MBA, an honours degree in Building Services Engineering and over 15 years experience in education, leisure, office development, healthcare and plant replacement projects.

Steven also has varied HVAC experience within the Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors, as well as experience of running and operating a successful small business.

Scott Thirlaway

Mechanical Engineer



Scott is a Building Services professional with over 20 years’ experience working in the construction industry on education, leisure, office development, healthcare and plant replacement projects.

Scott assists in the delivery of Mechanical Engineering design proposals. He applies for utility connections / disconnections, attends design team meetings and ensures the project team stays in sync. From design through to training clients how to use the new solution, to optimise efficiency.
